Genetically Modified Organisms

Have grocery stores become delivery systems?
Bearing insidious alterations in organ function?
I asked my local grocer-
"Please show me the labelling of GMO products you carry"
His reply-
"I'm not responsible for the content you consume"
My reply-
"Fair enough, who is"
His reply-
"Way above my pay grade, buddy"
My reply-
"Then your response is...buyer beware?"
His reply-
"Your words, not mine"
From that moment I decided, food

....is the new wild west

You sure got this right, we have no idea what we are eating and we keep on munching away all the same. Could be turned into a good horror Movie once all the effects start showing up. Good Job.

there is two aspects today, jimbo, and you have highlighten one here, delegation down to the lowest common denominator, and how much money can we make, all these at a cost, that we the general public are gullible and there for the taking.. but then there is us, the poets, like you, we will expose one day the full truth...people today are sick to death of insensitive govenments, and over the top profiteering.. this is a wonderful poem of yours, glad i came by...

Yes it is, and we are the worlds guinea pigs western europe LABELS and they sell so little of it ..it is kept in small areas of the larger supermarkets.. right now CA. is trying to pass a law to LABEL GMO food.

Sometimes the reason grapes are large is that they have genetically altered them with a walnut..If a person has allergy to nuts, wham oh!!Enjoyed reading your enlightening work..Sara
