Genes
Look at your skills,
Look at your genetics,
Look at your gifts,
That you have been givin’.
What’s in your genes is only yours.
What’s more important though,
Are the gifts inside your heart,
The gifts in lessons learned.
Its time to carry on,
And Forget the ways of the past.
Where do the sins of yesterday belong?
Cut the cord.
Do the sins of the father
Belong to the son?
The sins of yesterday are over,
The sins of yesterday are done,
Its time for all of us to sound the alarm,
We must feel it,
We must want it,
With our whole heart.
If the Earth is too last,
If future generations are to succeed,
We must learn from the past,
We must stop the bleeding.
