Gems

Precious are the uncut stones God gifts us,
but their loveliness remains concealed
until we cut them open and polish them.
God's glory in their radiance is then revealed.
With gratitude, put your gems on display.
Increase in His favor; store them not away.

How lovely the treasures God gives, not for men to abuse but to shine!

Beautiful advice. Talents given by God are to be cut and polished to shine like diamonds.

Great metaphor. Gems are precious, but those in our hearts are much worthier.

Nicely done Andrea... How many of his favours can you deny?

Each of us a Rough -- needing only the bench of experience combined with Faith. Faith is the cutting before polishing, every gemologist will tell you. No matter the training and precautions, each jewel starts as a gamble. Polishing can be the fun part, the realization of one's own inherent preciousness and beauty.
