Gazing At the Moon

If everyone could dream the night away
Each time they lay their head
Next to that special person in their thoughts
But it is sadly, a lonely bed

The trip back home is hard to bear
Not knowing when the time will come
To feel that blissfulness yet again
But now if feels all undone

To be given a chance at that life again
Across the shining sea
Could cause happiness without compare
“Together again, will it be?”

At the present time we face
The struggle to get back there soon
But just look to the sky each night and say
“Together, we are watching the moon.”
