Gaze of Reverie

Grass meadow vast as a sea Stretches almost to infinity Trees like islands on that sea Flowers are there full of beauty Yet smell is sobering air is dense Sometimes looking at it one feels tense Putting in heart eerie sense Like immersing in too deep can have dire consequence You feel something touch your leg Is it something scary no its just board from old keg You breathe with relief But the relief is brief Towards horizon is nothing but the sky And you realize one day you will die Nothing is hidden in the grass It’s just an extending mass And that is where your problem is There is nothing of value in this vast abyss They say after death good people will have bliss But you don’t know how much truth there is in this You almost see Air taking shape above grass sea Maybe there is something there only soul can see No forget it its only sky stretching for infinity Yet it is a place that is eerie and vast You start to think about future and past You know one day before master of it all stand you must Will there be light or will only shadow on your soul cast Dust to dust is that all that is Or is there really soul and divine bliss And you wonder what takes place of death In life after death Is it possible many times to die And every time go deeper to the sky And where do answers to questions like meaning of life lay Some say you know it all right before you die Grass looks supernatural in light of the moon But there is nothing there that wasn’t this afternoon Yet grasshoppers sing lively not melancholic tune And you wonder is there light on the dark side of the moon
