I agree with John. I love the word "relinquish" that sets the tone of your amazing excerpt that is a poem standing on its own letting go of the metaphoric "blood stained" past germinating new life and hope and healing! This is wonderful. Congratulations and blessings my friend!

Constance, what a perfectly wonderful word is "relinquish". Poetically powerful and emotionally cathartic, to let go of the sorrow through blood-stained words is a big step in the healing process. Going in my faves, congrats on your win ~ John
