Gather Me Up

Gather me
Gather me up
take my beating heart in your calloused hand
draw it close ...
so close to your beating still heart
Let my blood flow through you fingers down your hand and stain your forearm and shirt

Gather me up
holding my head to your head
twine yourself in my golden hair
encircle us both
 till we disappear

Gather me up
Each ash one and all
Gather the red rose
and the door...the beloved open door
Gather all of the rains...the torential rains
Gather our sparks
and our smoke

Gather my heart to your heart
Gather my soul to your soul
Gather me
Gather all of me
to your still so still ...ever beating heart

I am sad to read my own writing To know such love as it was and it to be totally lost... We were lucky so blessed

Thank you for thinking of me. Nice to be missed My muse has cut off the water -seriously I can still write but it is like digging in the desert. His brutal withdrawal killed off some essential part of me but I live on. Still creative but I spend far more time on photography now I am glad to see your muse is a well of glorious clean writing waters
