Gates of Spring
The hard cold road of Winter ends
At green meadowed gates of Spring
As dove's wings flutter feathers bend
And birds once again want to sing
Sun's warm eye has opened anew
Giving its glare to every seed
The cool gray skies finally changed blue
Cold rain rumbles to fill a need
Rainbows appear and cross the sky
And wear colors of varied hues
Fog rises from Nature's Spring sighs
Lays on soft bended grass as dew
Birds on wing limb to limb at ease
Whistle a melody for mates
Butterflies float on the warm breeze
With colorful wings that stimulate
Winter ends at the gates of Spring
Meadows turn lush as flowers bloom
Spring's symphony strikes its bow string
Nature bows with a colored plume
