Notes About The Poem

Garden of Broken Dreams

he

                         couldn't

                     send her fresh

                     forget-me-nots

             picked from their garden

                 to remember him by.

         'twas a garden they nurtured

and their love grew along with it,

but ever since she bade him goodbye...

dreams built; flowers in their garden, wilted.

This is such a beautiful and heartfelt expression of love through the metaphors of a garden, especially the forget-me-nots. Congratulations on your win Edward :)
