Garden of Bones

 The inevitable reaper

 He waits for his victims
 as their heartbeats fade
 He collects their last breath
 as a grim souvenir
 His garden of bones
 Blooms only grief,
 Another soul is leaving,
 He gathers his scythe ...

Congratulations on your win. I enjoyed reading your creative yet sad write. When one thinks garden, they think flowers. Like how you did it with bones.  Have a blessed day writing away...........

Hello Joe, Yes, the garden of death will always be full of bones for the grim reaper comes for us all. So well written with a Poe type spin which I really liked. - Blessings, My Friend, Daniel
