The angel over paradise, the angel over cherubim,
the angel who is larger than life…
Gabriel, the watcher of heaven above –
the announcer of Jesus’ birth…
Gabriel, messenger of holy things –
on love, light and lasting peace
The angel over paradise,
the angel over cherubim,
the angel who is larger than life…
Gabriel, reveal to me the secrets of time –
all through the ages, all that is divine.
Gabriel, overcomer of the worst that is –
the darkness that we battle, the despair and distress.
Gabriel, messenger of what is meant to be,
what we’re meant to see, the reason He set us free….
The angel who reveals… the mysteries, beyond our grief,
The reasons, the revelations, the relief…
Found in knowing the wonder of God’s holiness, His peace
The love found in showing Him – how we appreciate His grace
How we thank Him for the wonders of His unending gift –
The gift of a Son who Gabriel proclaimed before He was born
The Son who Gabriel revealed would be the Savior of the world,
The Savior who would be King of Kings, Prince of Peace…
Everything that matters to the soul who believes…
Jesus is the One who makes a way to say…
Gabriel heralded the light that will always stay,
The LOVE that I’ll always pray…
Will forever guide my way – forever teach me the way – forever
Abide with me, as Gabriel leads the way…
