Future Tomorrow

He was future tomorrow,
Dashing and handsome.

Maybe I read about him in a novel,
Intelligent and learned.

Intriguing and adventurous,
My miracle from stormy weather.

A complex and benevolent prince,
My Sir Walter Raleigh.

Guiding my every step,
A chance meeting in the cafe.

A glance across the crowded room,
He comes over and gently talks to me.

I am there like a princess from a foreign country,
The conversation diversified and exciting.

I look to see him again next day,
His return is distant, we agree to stay friends.

A miraculous friendship that lasts a lifetime,
Future tomorrow guided by God.
