Future Man and Woman
Confused, angry, victims
Of selfish ancestors,
Who raped the land and sea;
Leaving all desolate:
Future man and woman.
Future man and woman:
Restorers of the land
That mothers and fathers
Could not recall in youth,
Or a grandparent’s rant.
