Futile Leaders

In crisis we swim
Hunger for education has made us slim
The beauty of dye was washed by rain
From ignorance to ignored we leave by cain
Solidarity of the heart some withstand the pain

Minors relishing nothing from national cake
Yet,stroked to make the the cake bake
D realm of hardship By heart, bounty forsake

Indeed, Man can't swim against the tide
Needn't man run from d defamation of life guide?
We just have to go with the flow
Or take a sudden blow
For breath in this region is not for the slow

Quenching thirst with hazardous liquids
Where idle divine water is seeking employment
Zeal for success has kicked the bucket
Murderers! Daggering dreams of d young
Resulting to the Death of sale in a 'village' market

Holders of democratic wand!!
The land remains dry while u fill ur bellies

Remember! Thy breath shall cease indefinitly
And thy soul shall evaporate to be *JAMBED*
And body shall sleep undignified

Adentunfi - Here is Cyndi's comment to which I agree 100%!----'This was my personal favourite write in the entire contest, but because it wasn't a kyrielle, we could not honour it with a high placement. Your poem is magnificent and each line held me... such a profound piece that merits more attention. THANK YOU for sharing this with the judges. I will ensure that I highlight this poem in my winners blog which I hope to write this week.. Your poetry shines'... Congratulations - Tim
