Futile Fame

Bury me years from now,
And remember me then,
For something that I did,
It is almost everybody's refrain and bid,
Ask yourself why after all,
Should they remember you at all,
Are you not forcing them to your call,
What you did was now and here,
When it was needed and required,
Now that time has gone by you,
And the done was done,
And you are dead,
But still with greed one,
To be known and remembered forever,
What is the utility,
Your desire is in futility,
Even if you were reborn,
You are not bound to recognize,
Your own great deed done.
