Functional Joyousness
Being joyfully driven by God everyday means so much to me. Thus, I am inspired by the truth, “Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.” Such scriptural verse from Philippians 4:4 was asserted by the Apostle Paul when he was in jail. I admit that in my human frailty, I say that it is definitely difficult, as it is actually hypocritical to be joyful in the midst of trials, tribulations, torture, torments and terror. However, with the Almighty Who enables and empowers, I must have faith that my desire, as well as my decision, and determination to be glad, cheerful, and happy is verily possible despite sorrows, sadness, or sufferings. Today, with thanksgiving in my heart, I am persevering that in whatsoever state I am, by the grace of my Saviour, I still “rejoice evermore.”* With that mindset and spiritual pursuit, my commitment to reach-out as the handmaid of Christ, my Saviour is blessed with triumphant bliss.
