Yes, Paule..and you are one who creates awesome poetry respecting our time and hubris! No, I dont write away all day anymore, reaon being, I ruined my body. Karen..i have anew mailbox so messsages get buried. Sorry I am late. There is no reason to be long at all. Stop blaming you. Its great if a poet wants to write Chaucerian poetry, the best pioetry is short. Even some of mine are too long. Like that Debutante poem. Also we want to read certain poets, right? You owe nothing to me or another poet. I squirm with long poetry..thousands of poets here are great at getting the point across. Heh-heh, John. Nobody here is Plato or Aristotle, Few have studied even training in classical poetry.. thus new forms are created, I dont understand it at all. We crush the heritage of Classical Poetry, which is nothing more than the meter of our speech…for jingled forms we name after us?? Very sad, I think.Pangie xx

You really blow my mind, Michael! No poet ever said they would read my poem over and over.))) i simply pen what it was like for me. Reality writing suits me best. (Short and to the point.) My replies are rarely one or two words, to me, its like sneezing at a poet’s work. I call those roadrunner comments. Use those if you want to be a star on the comments board! Meep, meep ..Pangie. Hi dear Deb, It made me laugh, too. Even my own poetry ? Yikes. I am pretty harsh on myself. The famous poets,,I think, appeal to the soul and experience. I am not advocating for three liners. English is English. An astounding language. And for me, the best poetry is rhyme. Songs are mostly rhyme. Poetry is akin to song It creates beauty. You just did it in your reply “ A smile, on your dial,” you crack me up. )) “ You are light and bright, I’d like to hug you with all my might!” I have a background in comedy. I should use it a lot more in my poetry, going far beyond the confines of a limerick! You remind me of my best friend Pam. We spent We were as different as day and night! We each learned from each other. She was a blessing in my life. Pam accepted me totally and vice versa, hugs, Pangie xx

Welcome to my home here at Poetry Soup!! Tell me more,))) sentences passing for poetry? I get that many never wrote poetry, but the avoidance of even trying to learn it, is a loss. And if we drool over sentences disguised as poetry, we are liars. PS lists many forms to use. Anyway,the number of comments you or I get is meaningless. Read a lot,of course you will get a lotnback. I am not a supporter for anyone living their days and nights here. There is a world outside to laugh in, love in and give to. I mean 3 dimensional living,loving and giving.
