Here's a fun Poetry Marathon poem inspired by Robert Frost (1874-1963), and his famous poem, "The Road Not Taken." I originally published this in my 'Mile 8 Closed and Being Judged' blog post on 8/16/2025.

I have included my Marathon-themed poetry in my Poetry Marathon blog posts since 2019, usually at the end of the blog posts, but I never posted them to my poetry page. So now I'm taking the time to post them to my poetry page.

Two roads diverged on the marathon course
And obviously I couldn’t travel both
And neither were they clearly marked
So I took the one I thought was best
And now I’m far behind the rest

I had posted a comment on this earlier. But sadly, it is missing. I am a fan of Frost and I used to love the Poem- The Road Not Taken. Always the choice counts. If we choose the right one, we will be successful. But it is not always within our power. Enjoyed your tiny poem, dear Mark.
