For The Contest, “Fullness In Emptiness
Sponsor, Unseeking Seeker

Line Of Inquiry:
“as both this form and boundless space
cravings of ego negated
awake, vibrant yet nonchalant
bliss-drenched heart remains elate.”

Fullness In Emptiness

Sometimes, to feel God's power, we must take
the simple road, uncluttered, nature-bound,
devoid of those surroundings which may break
that stream of consciousness where He is found.

For when divergent, worldly thoughts stand front
and block deep shifts enlightening the soul,
we fail in the long-sought-for treasure hunt
to find that holy place which makes us whole.

Less worldliness enriches quiet time
to weed out cravings that will dim the light
when on our way to reach this height sublime-
feeling the love of God both day and night.

Fullness and emptiness- conflicting, yes!
But emptiness makes space for full success.

A very nice English sonnet on one of my favorite topics to read or write about Solitude not only brings closeness but also clarity that allows us poets to hear God in a very special way
