Full Moon Sadness

I give credit to the birth of this poem to Connie Marcom Wong. In her comment to me on 'Merlot Was Overflowing,' Connie wrote, "This poem has a full moon sadness..." Thank you for the inspiration, Connie. She adored rainstorms and roses love notes he left on her keyboard craved chocolate as a necessity of life music, the rhythm to which her heart beat and poetry, ah, poetry, refreshment for her soul Life was simple and simply beautiful until a thunderstorm disturbed her peace torn apart were the fragile petals of rose blooms destroyed were the tattered pages of his love notes she no longer heard music, her heart weakend in despair Poetry, ah, poetry. . . no words could she bear to write billowed clouds of gray filled her days misfortune struck and took away her light Full moon sadness darkened her every waking hour

There is beauty to be found, even in full moon sadness, Lin! These lines show what poetry is all about! A disrupted happy life is not easy to cope with, but strength of character helps a person to move on and find calm after the storm. Take care & warm regards ~ paul

You are very welcome Lin. The loss is more deeply felt when such happiness precedes the storm. A beautiful, yet sad poem you have created that so many of us can relate to. Your last two lines express that loss so wonderfully. : ) 7

Lin, this was absolutely beautiful, even if sad the beauty of your words just enchant me and tell me, if I am going to be sad, this is the way I want it to be. I loved everything about this.

Lin, I like the light and the dark in this gorgeous piece; it's like a chiaroscuro painting that lingers in the mind:) Amitiés

There is a mix of light and shadow in this one, Anne-Marie. I see you have the eye and probably the talent of an artist. Thank you for recognizing the technique as well as for your great comments.
