Fuel the Stars

Hidden kisses stolen under blankets
Of apologies and innocence.
A smile that lights up so much more
Than the room.
Eyes that give fuel to the stars,
So that we might stare up at them.
Holding hands.
Shivering but not from the cold.
With eyes closed as tight as our goodbye hugs.
It is in that moment that I realize.
I love you.
