Frozen Wasteland

Pale midnight, and a bleeding sunset--

a kiss from lips so FROZEN
fingertips frozen in a tight hold

BLINDING SUN ON A FROZEN LANDSCAPE

the wasteland of the heart

BARREN

and F
             R
             O
             Z
             E
             N
and waiting
        for
                you.
and the grip of frozen hands
   relaxes
and glinting
with the dying light of sunset
 is there falling
A small SILVER KEY

   to her HEART.

--and tear stains that won't ever come out
