Frozen
______________________________________
My heart is ice frozen,
with a soul forever winter;
I have seen too much death, each one chosen,
each fate written... oh, I escape in my inner.
I fold my petals- an ice rose- and weep,
I have gone deep;
but, in my dreams I can float to distant shores,
and there I am able to close those deathly doors.
I lament each beloved,
flowers gone to Heaven's azure;
names engraved in stone- names I have so loved,
I feel cheated that I have lost my treasure.
In my heart there is a huge jagged hole,
frozen is my soul;
oh, will I ever leave this winter so cold,
will my petals thaw before I have grown too old.
