A REAL GREAT READ. I can relate a bit on tragedy. I, myself am an adoptee. My mother left me an orphan 2 times .I do feel for the tragedy upon all the children left with no parents. I am sure every tragedy does have a blessing..Mine is my adopted parents...This is all I will read today .Had fun ...good night...thanks for reading my poetry..IRMA

So sad yet so true. It seems governments do everything in their power to hinder rather than help..and they ask us to trust them! The red tape keeping the kids in Haiti was senseless and avoidable. Thank God for the happy ending and thank you for a great poem. Mac

Unfortunately it takes a tragedy of such magnitude to teach us compassion and our purpose here on earth - to love and help one-another. Great Senryu, Andrea. love, lainie

Hi Andrea, Nicely penned Senryu! Thank you for reading and commenting "Atacama". To answer your question: I have lived and worked in Chile for a certain time first in Antofagasta in the North and in the 90ties in Osorno in the South. I finished a poetry book with love poems in English, Spanish and German and hope to get it printed some day. Kind regards, Gert
