From the Other Side of Life
The world is upside down it seems
And as I stumble without light
There's an old man laughing at me
From the other side of life
And there's a black cat stalking round my path
With his nose out to the night
His eyes look like they've seen the world
From the highest mountain heights
Where is that torch I am to carry?
It scorched my hands; I let it go
I am no light bearer for these people
It burns too fast, they walk too slow!
There's an old man laughing at me
From the other side of life
And I would trade my brown hairs with his grey
For a word of his advice
