From the Mind of a Twisted Self

Look in the mirror
Staring back...a face
but not yours!

Try to shake it off
still there...not leaving
try to embrace it.

Start to think
thoughts...not your own
what is this?

Seeing things
hallucinations... strange findings
where am I?

Paranoia settles over
worry...irrational
getting used to it.

No longer pushing it away
the feeling...welcoming
no longer afraid

Maybe I'm mad
Laughing...that's okay
I'm a poet!

this is a great one brittany, sounds like insanity to me, that or insomnia which i suffer from, but this is great i would love to know what you think about devilishly insane if you have time, i wanted it to have a kinda campfire scary story feel to it. great write and i laughed at the end =) Jo
