From Different Worlds

he came one day on his black motorcycle and I was smitten my heart was breaking for I knew already we were doomed we were from different worlds my parents would never approve of his bad boy look and ways and I could never fit into his wild life but that did not matter when our eyes connected it was love we drove the roads wild and free my arms around his waist I had never felt so connected to anyone and we made love whispering perhaps somehow there will be a time for us but we knew the answer was never and grasped for each moment of now we were swept away and I will never forget my time with him never forget that complete need and that forever heartbreak that stays with me even today and the what if... what if _________________________ August 25, 2020 Poetry/Free Verse/from different worlds Copyright Protected, ID 20- 1281-279-03 All Rights Reserved, 2020, Constance La France Written for the contest, A Time For Us sponsor, JCB Burl First Place
