From Age To Age
A child in my father's home
years of stolen hope
wandering in my own dreams
tossing and turning
setting my past ablaze
Taught pretense, a discipline
Smile from ear to ear
Respect elders with fear
Power of death have they
Smart, yet foolish i grew.
Dare to speak your mind
Arrogant in their sight
Trash your dreams for theirs
Paint your heart with theirs
Live their life in yours
Need they lenses for clear vision?
"how it's been,will always be"
The enemy of the dreams to be.
Change of mindset starts within
Roots so grounded in the dream
Disowned for dreams that left no sleep.
Paved a way for all to chase their own.
Like Gandhi, we all have our dreams'
The difference is the will to Sacrifice
Our Comforts for the One we Love.
