Friendships

A friendship is a great thing to have but is not always
easy to keep!
Friendships are just like trees.
There are tons of leaves that use you to grow, but when they're
ready they'll leave you after all you've done for them.
Branches gain a lot of trust and you think they're gonna
be in your life as a friend forever,
but someday an animal or human will take
it away from you.
Then there
are a couple of roots that will stay
with you through thick and thin.
A good friend will not be found in every
person you meet.
So when you do find one of those roots hold on to them.
Make sure you stay strong and don't
change as all those leaves and branches come and go.

I like your analogy between the trees and freindship. Strong roots yeild stronger friendships. This is a very nice write. Keep writing and welcome to Poetry Soup. Always, Dane.

This is so true. When you find a true friend make sure you hold on to them. There are not that many in the world today. Great job! Nate
