Friendship So Sweet
They play all day across
the street,
combing the lawn with
their swift feet.
What a friendship so cool
and sweet,
between the Little Lad
and his big Dog!
The big dog's teeth-- the
lad employs,
to run errands; not
tearing toys.
Peekaboo is part of the
ploys
bonding the little lad and
his big dog.
The dog was young but
now is old;
so big, brawny and very
bold;
a blanket shared, when
times are cold...
warming the little lad and
his big dog.
They yawns and pray
when the day breaks,
and eat together...crumbs
and cakes.
Ready to give it all it takes;
cheers to the little lad and
his big dog.
Friends forever-- both
day and night,
in bark or bite; He treats
her right.
It's fun when'er they
feign a fight...
Behold the little lad and
his big dog.
