Friendship Is More

FRIENDSHIP IS MORE

Friendship is like a marriage.
It is more than just a yes or no proposition.
When a friend goes back a ways
and I know a lot about them,
they're like family.
I may get mad at them sometimes
and want to leave them,
but I can't
because
deep down
I want to know
what happens to them;
and when the time comes
where they're buried.
So, I keep on keeping on,
and help them through
and they keep on keeping on
and help me through;
through the ups and downs of life
with all its joys and sorrows.
Even when they are sometimes a pain,
I put up with them,
because I know sometimes 
I am a pain too.
