Friendship

Of all the treasures that life can lay at our feet True friendships stand among the very best To support you when living hands you defeat Of your life's ups and downs they gladly partake Taking your hand when you are hard pressed Making their own sacrifices just for your sake Comrades without whom you are not complete Those that stick by you, the years will attest A listener when there is pain and deceit To have such friends you must be one too And hold them tenderly for you are so blessed A priority as they do the same for you Of all the treasure that life can lay at our feet Comrades without whom you are not complete
