Friends From Above

Friends are God's loving arms extended
When we need a hug... they are there
They are strong to lift us from a fall

Friends keep us smiling
Through the good times
And even through the bad

Friends cry with us, when we need
They make us laugh...
when laughter is far from being felt

Friends are like air...
Something we couldn't live without

For through our friends God reaches out
To hold us, bring comfort through the pain
They help keep us on track
When we, ourselves have lost our way

I hope I am that friend to you
As you surely have been for me

I thank God for my precious friends
For they are the pearls in life...
that God sends.

you seem to write a lot of poems about God and Jesus. I don't see a problem with that, but the way they come across makes it sound like you are helpless without them. You are your own person, capable of free will and your own decisions. Don't thank God for friends, you made them by being a great person. Give yourself mroe credit. You overcome problems, not God. He wants you to enjoy this gift, not think you have to depend on him for everything.
