It's a wonderful thing to have a friend Although good friends are fairly rare, In one's lifetime they come and go A good friend you can't afford to spare.

Me neither, Caren. Most of my family are gone, but I have many friends who help sustain me.

So true. Friends are hard, and when you find them...letting them go is even harder. Well written as always. You are a wonderful poet. Ann

There are times when a friend will support us more than a family member. Good thoughts, Milt.

As I told Karen, Tom, this poem was jotted down while I was waiting to see a doctor. A lady in a wheelchair was being helped by a friend who was so caring. It was beautiful.

Thank you, Karen. I was watching a friend wheel a lady in a wheelchair at the doctor's office when I wrote this.
