Friend

What to me is a friend? Someone who doesn't pretend They're true to my face My faults they embrace They'll stay with me to the end They share my joy and pain Through sunshine and rain They cry when I'm sad And laugh when I'm glad Don't care if I'm timid or vain So where do I find one of these? Don't grow on bushes like peas Right here in you My friend ever true We surf life's stormy seas

Wow. I shouldn't get emotional over this but :'-) .. I guess friendship is the kind of love that is precious in a deeper and more meaningful way that many other types of love. Particularly the rare kind you describe.. I love "We surf life's stormy seas" conjures up an element of dis-regard of danger, togetherness and shared experience only storms can bring.
