"Fresh"
Azure skies reflect in your eyes I flow into your still calm you are my ultra marine pulling in my tide grave eyes silver green portals flood two minds now one magnetised salty love taste your lips all tangled up in seaweed legs wrapped and tied tight like ribbons at the crossroads solitary isolated locked (LadyLabyrinth / 2020)

A beautiful write as always. Your pen knows just what to say. I love and miss the beach/ocean. The sounds, salty air and walking the beach for seashells. Some of my best days have been on a beach. Enjoy your day and weekend.........

I wonder where you live over there Paula? Thank you for the kind comment. There was a time, I was sequestered away inland to live, very far from the Ocean. The missing of it was heart wrenching. That first occurred when I was a child and then later, in another place, with my young daughter (who is now a young adult). We may just as well have been in prison.

People tend to feel freedom when they are walking along a beach barefoot and swimming in the Ocean. Isolation gives one time to think; the opportunity to be standing on a shore or truly immersed in the Ocean, wet, gives one clear freedom on all levels, it is certainly cleansing. For some it is like a religious experience, for some, it is the only "confessional" they need. No walls. The Ocean is a beautiful siren it calls to all of us. Perhaps that is why it is a metaphor for Life. Somehow you should grab a friend and try and make it to the beach, if not, take yourself on that beautiful adventure (if possible). The Ocean when you think about it, is in all of us, we all have salt and water in our bodies, perhaps that is related to the message in our genetic code. I will always live close to the Ocean. Lots of love Paula. Leanne x

Not only is the ocean romantic, it is healing. Just breathing in the salty air, calms me and awakens me at the same time. Beautiful poem, Lady. Blessings, Rhonda xx

The Ocean has a rhythm to it, that can drown out all the noise. x

OCEAN = LIFE. Living, not merely existing. x
