Freedom Revoked

I often sit and
shake my head
Thoughts tumble
while in my bed
How often has it
been said
For the good of us--
is why it was did

I stand up and take
offense
It is not a series
of circumstance
We as people have to
make a stance
Or the big guy will
put us in a trance

You bring in new
laws one by one
Taking our rights
until there are none
Tightening the
reigns on everyone
Soon our freedoms
will all be gone

I sit in utter state
of dismay
While with our
freedom they do play
All the while they
will say
For your good we do
this today...
