Freedom

Today I flee my cage, My home for eternity! I never realized it was a cage, For I believed I could fill the pages of life, Without stepping out of my home. But it was not so.. Realization struck only when I saw the birds soar.. But to flee the cage, it took me strong chains to bind me first, The price had to be paid! But that made the flight priceless! I hope that those chains always bind me, So that i realize my capacity to fly, And keep taking higher plights!
