Free To Roam

If I am free to roam, I will travel this beautiful creation I will spread words of wisdom wherever I can on my way I will share love with strangers and bring unity through miles The rivers will guide me with sparkles, dancing from the sun The mountains will give me strength, whenever I am tired The flowers will help me to keep growing and learning The bird’s warbling songs will lift my spirits on difficult days If I am free to roam, I will share a piece of everything I see All of this, to witness the smiles on the faces of others Every footstep will result with a significant purpose Each lake would reflect what I have learned in my travels My travels would be enlightening and purposeful in God’s will In all of this journey, it is God’s will that will have the final say Heidi Sands 1/26/23 Placed 3rd in the pick-a-title, Vol 34 Poetry Contest.
