Free Spirit
Free Spirit
There are spirits that are free;
Thinking outside the box of society.
Bound not by the chaos of the Earth;
Remembering in heart life's worth.
Silencing the angry voices of masses;
Ignoring the opinions of social classes.
Walking a different path and direction from most;
Like the shadows of time and ghosts.
Following instinct and intuition;
Or what others call superstition.
Walking in two worlds living in none;
Comforted by moon and guided by sun.
Ancestor, ancestor, do not walk too fast;
I am following your footprints while they still last.
This world is not made for the human beings;
Let us chase our tomorrows within our dreams.
When dawn approaches and a new day is born;
Let us not be remorseful, withered, or torn.
We sing our song to the ones with wings;
And face together what another day brings.
For a spirit that is free can not be broken;
As long as prayers and gratitude are spoken.
For as long as love continues to prevail:
We are not defeated....we do not fail.
Rise in the morning and walk in a good way;
Know when to leave and know when to stay.
Trust the heart that Creator has filled;
And the sacred teachings the ancestors instilled.
