Free
Free … to see the beauty
not the bland.
Instead of hiding from the voices
I dance to the band.
Free … to walk amongst
the long avoided crowd.
Head held high, bursting with joy
I want to scream aloud.
Free … to feel, simply feel
the range of emotions within us.
From the ecstasy of new found love
to hurtful, hateful cuss.
Free … from the bonds of
self-imposed misery.
Free to let myself fall in love
and embark on a new mystery.
