Freckled With Stars
Venus peeks down from above;
admiring Earth's azure seas.
And instantly falls in love;
with all the beauty She sees.
The tides rise and ebb offshore;
drawn to phases of the moon.
And tethered forevermore,
they will waltz to Luna's tune.
Shrouded in shadows of black;
Night's velvet curtain looks stark.
And yet, as time draws it back,
paradise shines through the dark.
The Night is freckled with stars,
piercing an ebony sky.
And a reddish blush tints Mars;
as a shooting star streaks by.
