Emile Pinet Poet Quatrain

Freckled With Stars

Venus peeks down from above,
admiring Earth's azure seas.
And instantly falls in love
with everything that She sees.

The tides rise and ebb offshore,
lured by the pull of the moon.
And tethered forevermore,
oceans waltz to Luna's tune.

Shrouded, in shadows of black,
Night's curtain and Dusk align.
And, as Luna draws it back,
in its folds, twinkling stars shine.

The Night is freckled with stars,
piercing an ebony sky.
And a reddish blush tints Mars;
as a shooting star streaks by.
