Frail Embers

remember those eyes
the sparkle of love’s sunshine
sing of the golden days done
open wide my heart
again stay the demon fear
bloom the last rose of winter

remember the sighs
the joy of caring touches
fan the frail ember, desire
with kissed fingertips
for we are not done my love
come to my waiting embrace

This is beautiful, Debbie! I hope this "Frail Ember" will bring the 'sparkle' and warmth back to you both! I'll bet that you will both have even more to cherish and share this time 'round. Wishing you and yours the best! Love, Mikki

Dear D.G., thank you for taking your time and embracing my silly winter poem... This happens to be a very lovely Sedoka a bit sad when one has to sit and touch bases with a desire still there some where.. I also like the deep 5th & 6th line.. Life is always hard when them demons stick when they are not wanted... anyways.. makes a great read any which way you view it.. from your perception or mine... Enjoyed stopping by today,..p.d.
