Foolish me thought 2024 would be a better year.
And now she's in Heaven. I feel bad I never showed her any of my poems, but I'm sure she's keeping an eye on me from up there.
I hope 2024 doesn't give me more tragedy, and perhaps it can give me some happy memories. I want to be happy. Now it's difficult without her. But it will get easier. Everything gets better at some point. I'm sure soon everything will be fine.
I'm in some sort of writer's block again. Eventually it'll disappear. I'm sure.

Grandma, you left us, and I miss you a lot.
I saw life leaving you, but it wasn't scary, just a peaceful sleep you got.
Did I take good care, give enough hugs too?
But let's not dwell, life does what it has to do.
Life is like a journey, you live, then you die,
But I'm happy you lived happily, oh so high.
Now you're in heaven, with family and pets,
Enjoying the place where everyone forgets.
I'll always remember the times we had,
You were there for me, through good and bad.
I love you, Grandma, forever and more,
In my heart, your memories I'll store.
