Four To Blame
Blame it on the sea
That crashed upon the sand,
And washed away my heart
That I had drawn for you.
For my heart is what you wanted,
But my heart I could not give.
Blame it on the rain
That fell upon the words,
The words that told my love
That I had written down for you.
For my love is what you wanted,
But my love I could not give.
Blame it on the wind
That blew upon my life,
And scattered all my dreams
That I had dreamed with you.
For my dreams are what you wanted,
But my dreams I could not give.
So, if you sit there lonely
Blame the sea, the rain, the wind,
But if these three seem not enough,
Blame it all on me.
For I am really all you wanted,
But myself I could not give.
