Fountain

I want to eat Pizza
While wishing on a star
To taste the taste of happy
By being where you are

We’ll choose to be silly
Not afraid of mistakes
Skinny dip at midnight
and skip pebbles on lakes

Why not dance together
While howling at the moon
Or become little children
and watch a cartoon

A world infused with laughter
can change how we think
From this fountain of youth
We’ll both gladly drink

For nothing could be better
Than sharing it with you
Because getting into mischief
Is a blast if there are two!

Sounds like cool fun, pure serendipity... As long as it doesn't end in marriage, perhaps it'll never grow old. Does that sound cynical? I think it's realistic. Marriage takes more than just goofing and spoofing to make it work. Having been married more than once, I am 'the voice of Experience.' -- Yeah. Sure. lol. Every relationship's unique. Forget everything I just said. Have a ball! ~ Lucille and Ricky Ricardo.

A fun comment. I married my sweetie 27 years ago and we have been getting up to mischief ever since. She is my fountain of youth.

Wow... Such a beautiful poem with such beautiful message. I am growing up and I think I am loosing my interest in cartoons lol... And I never hawled at the moon.. Would love to do it some day... I am in the prime of my youth, and I am badly missing my childhood ... I don't wanna be an adult or grow old lol... I believe only kids can truly enjoy their lives... Every moment... Loved your poem... This is going to my fav list...

Loved this Richard. A fave for me. The world is a terrible place if you can't find some fun. Me I'm 73 yrs. young and still going strong. I don't thin I will ever be too old or mature to have fun and play with animals and kids. God Bless, JB

An ex-con (an old friend of mine) used to always say, "A partner in crime, guarantees you'll do time" lol of course, you are talking about playful mischief. This poem reminds us to cut loose and enjoy life. A very positive way to start one's day. Good job, Richard. Hope you are having a wonderful weekend:)
