Forty Rules of Love

When I look at you something changes I feel the pain in me when all I know is one day you wont be here to catch me When you fought for my rights but I backed down to keep the reputation of my family high No matter what I do I still come to you You have given me hope, happiness, and anything love I know I broke you, hurt you, but through that I fought for you, trying to change the eyes of my parents Maybe one day when I’m ready ill come for you I don’t expect you to wait for me To hold me To change me But all I ever ask is to never stop loving me I have never felt the opening of love And the destruction of the gates closing I always thought we could go through this with the happiness of others in the bottom of our shoes We always fought for love But it was never enough I’m sorry I hurt you I’m sorry I didn’t fight for you I hope you find someone who would love you the way you deserve to be loved When I am accepted by myself and my family I am yours no matter what I love you I am sorry Forgive me
