Forthcoming Word
I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and will give them all these lands, and through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed. —Genesis 26:4 NIV
The promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. The scripture does not say “and to seeds,” meaning many people, but “and to your seed,” meaning one person, who is Christ. —Galatians 3:16 NIV
FORTHCOMING WORD
Such lovely words, one’s breath won’t die,
for infants’ blest in their first cry.
The utterance, such wisdom stays
in God’s sweet book - colostrum’s praise.
The word is seed, the treasure stirred -
such drivel’s born whence kitten’s purred.
The pearl upon the tongue - a gem,
a current sage, it buds from stem.
Exhale uttered with rage or joy -
uncertain world of girl or boy.
Without a beginning no aim -
dear Kilmer’d be devoid of fame.
A mother’s breast of silent ink,
for such a time’s needed to think.
The notable breath of God’s babe -
promised from stars to good old Abe.
