Formed - the Believers History

Created are we into the image of God
from the dust of the earth, we are made
God has FORMED us for His honour
out of His greatness, this image was laid

But then a major problem was found
this image was now DEFORMED by sin
when Adam sinned all mankind fell
separated from God eternally never counted in

But God had an awesome master plan
His son Jesus would come and die
on Calvary's cross as the perfect substitute
three days later rise to life no longer to lie

Then, God, the holy spirit came down
as Jesus the son went heaven-bound
this spirit TRANSFORMED many a heart
to display God's spirit in them be found

So God's spirit would bring a life of change
producing Jesus in all that truly believed
CONFORMED one day to the Lord Jesus
when they see Him so eternally they cleaved

(The believer's history so formed:
1) Formed in God's image
2) Deformed from God's image by sin
3) Transformed into God's image by the spirit
4) Conformed one day to the Lord Jesus Christ when we see him.)

Deformed by sin, when the time comes there will be much grinding of teeth and well I didn't know attitude from many but they have had their day, I hope it was worth it.
