Fork In the Road

Life can be more than one track, but none will allow you to go back, but they help you to learn, when there’s plenty to churn inside your mind - so if you want to lighten the load, take heed of the fork in a road. For along any road, there is ample ready to goad, into taking a path, where the devil will laugh and lead you to despair - so your future could explode, if you’re confused at the fork in a road. Your past might have been a crazy one, full of quandaries which you did make. So when it is time for the fork in a road, it’s you who must choose which one to take. History can be repeated, if you are acting conceited, to the words of a sage, who can easily gauge the path you are traveling on - for their wisdom is a light that glowed, so stop and think at the fork in a road. No you can’t go back, once you’ve taken a track, for what’s done is done, but the course you’ve run doesn’t mean that you cannot amend - just take your time with the ethical code, then think about the fork in a road. Yes think about it … we all come to a fork on life’s road.

Great, awesome poem Lindsay - we all have a choice at a fork in the road, the easy short cut is usually the wrong one, so we should take the one that teaches us along the way and enlightens and inspires us us to keep taking the right fork! Well penned Lindsay, Blessings, Jennifer.

"I do" is a choice many rue, but happiness depends upon learning from our mistakes! Well said! Aloha! Rico

Another gem from thy prolific quill, Lindsay. To put it another way as the witty American baseball great Yogi Berra once said: "If you come to a fork in the road, take it" Bob H

Always a difficult choice, do I take the right or the left, we all make the odd mistake but getting back on track is the key, not always easy though. Tom

Correct Tom, but taking a backward step can sometimes be demanding, but it's a good way to learn - thanks Tom - Lindsay

Yes we all have that 'fork' where our lives can turn, sometimes I wonder where I might be now if I had taken Road X instead of Road Y, but I guess we all do that - very wise words here.
